How much and how did the Italian media tell about migrations and minorities in 2017? How has this narrative influenced the perception of readers and listeners? Has journalism helped to counteract or promote hate speech? To these and other questions try to answer “Notizie da paura", the fifth annual report on media and immigration edited by the Association “Carta di Roma” together with the Observatory of Pavia, in collaboration with the European Observatory for Security.
“Notizie da Paura" is made up of 3 sections: analysis of the national and local press; analysis of the Italian national prime-time news programmes; information and infotainment programmes.
